EVP

EVPs, or Electronic Voice Phenomena is one of my favorite paranormal interests. What are EVPs you ask? According to the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena, “EVP are anomalous, intelligible speech recorded in or produced by electronic devices, and for which no currently understood physical explanations can account.”
What exactly does that mean? Paranormal investigators will often use digital recorders in their investigations to ask questions in an area where there is supposed activity. Often they will receive responses. For instance an investigator can ask “What is your name?” A response, lower than normal auditory levels, will be caught by the digital recorder. When played back investigators will hear a voice or sound that was not present when the question was asked.
Here are some great examples from The Ghost Investigators Society:

Vivid Dreams

I am a vivid dreamer. Think of the most crazy, lovely or horrific events one can imagine, and I have probably had a dream regarding it. I’m truly not bothered by this since it is almost an adventure every time I go to sleep. Most of these vivid dreams occur during REM sleep, or the ones that we can remember. According to some these dreams occur constantly during REM sleep. Individuals that wake up right after a dream usually have a better chance to remember what happened. Normally the next morning I can recall pretty much everything that has happened during the night. Lately I’ve been plagued by zombie dreams, but I can attribute this to a particular game I usually play before going to sleep.
On occasion though I have experienced what is called Lucid Dreaming. This is where a person is aware that he or she is dreaming, and can actually manipulate experiences as the dream happens. I’ve actually been working on this somewhat with myself in that I would to control my own dream sequences. Two of the most interesting lucid dreaming experiences I’ve ever had happened several years ago. My grandparents have long ago passed, but on occasion I have dreamed about them and remember having vivid conversations about current events in my life. It was absolutely fascinating to be able to converse with them, even if it was only in a dream.
So are you a vivid or lucid dreamer? Leave your comments below:
